When people say the trailer to American Hustle looks a little like Casino, it's a little hard not to agree. In fact the scene where Jennifer Lawrence crawls seductively brings back fond memories of Sharon Stone's performance as the supposedly similarly emotionally unstable glamour girl turned wife (where they technically glamour girls? What would a glamour girl be like, Edie Sedgwick?)
IRREGARDLESS! I'm still excited to see the movie because David O. Russell Writes characters really well and I'm interested to see what the movie is going to be centered on because the trailer really gives you nothing. I will neither read up on Abscam or watch anymore trailers just so I can be genuinely surprised at the theatres (even though that aspect of watching movies has never been much of an issue: MOS ending had hundreds of foreshadowing even from a few minutes in but I still gasped when it happened!)
But more importantly, them perms are righteous brother! Oh man... what is up with everyone's hair and clothes here. The 70s man....
