Have you met Anne Emond?
"I like drawing potted plants, stacks of books, skeletons, little old ladies, and people looking generally pensive and melancholy"
Anne Emond is a Brooklyn based writer and illustrator. I stumbled across one of her comics on the interwebs and found a liking to her style in general. I love this picture in particular because of the details and lack thereof and the appropriate placement of every single component in the image.
If, like me, you are intrigued by this individual of note, visit her site to see the artist's works.

On a completely unrelated tangent, you know how sometimes we can look blankly into space and stare at one spot in our range of view without actually focusing on what it is we look at? Well I did precisely that on my way to class today, straight into rows of bushes by the side of the road, but when I regained my focus I noticed that my eyes were set on this old gentleman with his pants partly down to take a piss. He gazed at me, I'm not sure if out of horror, shock or plain perversion, and I quickly glanced away drowned in embarrassment. Why do things like this happen to me, a semi-decent person? And furthermore, why did I have the weird compulsion to share this???
